About the Job
Hispanic (Mexican), Spanish-speaking. Bruno is a disease-ridden catastrophist who pushes those closest to him away to practice his suffering. Recently diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a chronic illness that inflames and deteriorates his intestine, he feels he no longer has control of his body and bowel movements, making him vulnerable to his environment. Due to his denial of the condition, fear of an alteration to his body through possible surgery, and the possibility of death due to a family history of colon issues, he takes no proactive steps towards his health until one of his closest friends, John, passes from a chronic illness of his own, which reshapes Bruno’s gratitude for life.
